Lemon yellow, flamingo pink, neon green, bright blue and tangerine orange are all the rage this spring.  Adding a neon piece (or two) to your outfit immediately takes your look from plain to pumped up.  The tip to rocking these highlighter hues without looking like a punk rocker from the 80's is to pair them with neutral basics in classic cuts.

Being a child of the 80's, I have been long awaiting the return of neon infused attire (and the slap bracelet, but that's another story).  If you are feeling a bit hesitant about throwing on bright yellow shorts, start slow with some bright yellow shoes - and keep the rest of your ensemble simple.  Neon is an outfit maker and you only need so much to make an outfit!
