Although I didn't spend my vacation actively writing, I was conducting intensive fashion field research (otherwise known as people watching) that resulted in some fun Florida fashion findings to share with you. Sarasota style was punctuated by bright prints and colors (think flamingo pink, tangerine orange, and clear bright sky blue). There was a lot of 60's inspired print on print action going on with tropical prints in candy colored hues parading through the resort and along the streets. Florida fashion walks a fine line between bright seaside fun and tacky town and I love it!
These pieces remind me of Florida fashion and everything I adored about my vacation - the southern hospitality and charm, sunshine and palm trees, walking along the beach collecting seashells, mother/daughter qt, morning kayaking adventures, and complete and utter laid back relaxation.

Florida fashion is bright and bold, it is welcoming, it is relaxing and comfortable, and most of all, it is playful. Whether life imitates art or vice versa, Florida fashion is the aesthetic reflection of the people of Florida, the natural beauty, and the way a trip there will make you feel. I am hoping to head back to Sarasota in a couple years, but until then I will be living vicariously through this Florida inspired fashion to bring a little bit of tropical paradise into my everyday life.
